what is the best setting for the mxtpro on a medium mineral farm ground?
is it better to use relic or c&j ? i believe it goes deeper in relic... is it true?

In my ground here in southern TN i run in Relic 99 percent of the time.I run the other setting on the presets. I bought a sef coil and I can run it wide open because it is still stable at full power. Relic mode seems to go deeper but I really believe its just getting the coil over the target. I have missed stuff at 4 inches and found stuff behind my Buddy's 6000 pro. I love the MXT pro and believe that it will find stuff at 12 inches if I can get my coil over it and hear it whisper to me.

What kind of coil you using. The 12 inch is a deep seeker but its heck on your arm and back but it will get a 12 inch coin or a button that deep.

hi lee, i use the original 12 " Coil Spider... it's a bit heavy but i think it covers more ground. i go on open farm fields so big coil doesn't really bother me.
my friend has a dfx and uses relic mode with a 8" dd coil...he says it will go deeper...

I use a 10" DD coil and run it as wide open as I can depending on the soil. I use C&J most of the time and discrimination on 2.
