Best Settings for 3300

Hello All,
My first post to to this forum although I have been lurking for quite awhile. I am curious as to what 3300 users consider the best overall settings for this detector. I usually keep it at the factory preset ( the settings when you first turn it on) with the exception of hitting the disc once to block out iron. I have been successful with this setting, I have found some gold, (rings) and silver, (coins and jewelry). But I am hoping somebody has a more optimum setting. It a good detector but the recovery is not to good between targets, also this baby sucks down batteries very quickly, My solution for that was rechargeables. Any other tips regarding this detector is appreciated..

Thanks

I own the Titan 3000 and like to notch out the first to iron settings, I check the ground setting every time I start sweeping a new sight. If i am sweeping and get a beep like a silver reading I will sweep over again at a slower pace. If I get two beeps I mark the spot with pin pointer mode and dig. There is a slight learning curve for sweep speed. Most people sweep way to fast. If you are using the 8.25 inch coil ideal speed of sweep is about 16 inches per second.

OK I have been running the 3300 for a while, the best advice i can give ya is swing speed and sensitivity. Once you have your machine ground balanced adjust your sensitivity as high as the ground will let you, you will know this by the amount of "chatter" it gives ya. once you have that all set and your swing speed is rolling away you go. Give it some time to work in and once you have it embedded (your rhythm not he detector) in ya, go to an area that you have pounded or hunted out, and Try it i bet you will be surprised.

Question:
Do you find that the deeper the target is the more the numbers jump around on the VID screen?
Just wondering how stable the numbers are and if the depth of the target effects it at all.

Yes but i have also noticed that you will get a signal that is more constant then all the others and thats usually what you are going to find. Like all other times when its more then 6inches and a bouncing signal but in the coin range i dig, So yes I do lot of digging.......but dont we all.
