BEST Setting for Land Hunting w/Excal???

Accteam

New member
Hello,

Yes, I know the Excal is one of the BEST units for water hunting but I have heard people to have found deep targets on land, too.

Can some of the pro here give some tips/setting for using the Excal on land? Also, in case the area I live in makes a difference, I live in Brooklyn, NY.

Thanks in advance and looking forward to hearing back,

;)

Use it the same way you would use it on the beach.

Set up the sensitivity as needed, set discrimination as needed for what you want to find.

You will have to pinpoint good. Sand scoops don't work good in dirt.

Have a sister in the big crapple. President or presidential st. in Brooklyn.

Mu buddy did a lot of land hunting with his excal and had plenty of success. No dism.,no notch, and set your sensitivity until your threshold of stable. Its that simple.Good luck.

Like Art and Marc says to set it and use it just like you would do in the water, but you will have to know your tones better as now you will want to not dig every positive tones like you would in the water. The reason is it will take longer to dig in the dirt than at the beach. Once you know your good tones you will be able to tell which ones you want to dig and which ones you don't. The Excalibur will be a bit heavy as you will find out for land hunting, but will work great too.
