Best set-up to mount box on belt for lightweight swing?

What have you done to mount the box on the waist in such a way that the coils do not get in your way? By the time I attach a earphone and have the cable from the coil to the box, etc. I am looking for the best way you have found to keep from getting tangled up too badly (like when laying the detector down to dig). My job has given me carpal tunnel syndrome and the relative light weight of the CZ6 I use can cause me to loose feeling in my wrists and hands in a short time which does not make my detecting time as enjoyable.
Any ideas welcome.

Years ago when detectors were much heavier I hipmounted everything and when I finally went into a rodmount it took time to adjust so the same is true vice versa..First basically try to get the headphone wire and detector wire on opposite sides and many run the detector coil wire under your belt with slack to prevent strain on the coil wire where it plugs into detector or near the coil as its easy to break one of the solder joints. I always liked mine on my left hip as I am righthanded but thats your preference.Another thought they do make a chestmount configuration which many like also.My advice go in your back yard and experiment and find the best way for you and after a while it will become second natrure..Having rodmounted now for years would sure feel clumsy myself going back to body mounting but either way once you develop a system stay with it and after a while it will become second nature and lighten the load. Another thought they are now coming out with extremely lightweight units and it may be time for a change...

takes weight off from stem and greatly reduces water resistance. hope it helps!

Takes weight off arm and shoulders and transfers to larger muscles of the back..If anyone has a bad back its not recommended...

i also didn't like housing mounted on my belt because it dug into me when i got into water deeper than my belt. what ever works i guess.
