best scoop for rocky Fresh water lake?

I am looking too get a scoop for a fresh water lake. Obviously there is no sand but the typical lake bottoms. I would be using a land machine, either my DFX, or my new coinmaster.

What ever scoop you decide to go with I would highly recomend you build a floating sifter to use as well. In fresh water lakes I have found it to be such a time saver. If you search in this section and in the modifications forum you will find some great designs

This is my Scoop I made for the lake. I still have not tested it as of yet.

Very creative Stang. Nice job!

easier said than done. I guarentee water will travel up the inside of the shaft and fry it. Trying to juggle a scoop and a land machine??? GOOD LUCK. Before I did that I would by a used cheap Ace 250 and waterproof it. But its your choice. Good luck and I hope you find enough gold to get a waterproof machine FAST.

If you are going to hunt rocky lakes you need a stainless steel scoop . Alum. scoops brake to esay. Stealth scoop are good, nuttal scoops are stainless steel scoop too your pick good luck.

Stang 12 ,
Interesting idea. But , I think you need a tighter angle where the scoop meets the handle. As it is , you'll have to actually use it like a shovel. And that's gonna be tough in the water. Good Luck !

Be careful with that land machine in the water. The lakes around here have sand, gravel, and clay mixed bottoms. Tough digging when your standing in the water. I modified an aluminum scoop with a steel tip, it works well for me. My floating sifter is an inner tube with an oil drain pan drilled with 1/2" holes and ty-wrapped to the inner tube, with a gallon ice cream container attached for my trash.

i have the Krepish and the Evroecavator.2

the evroecavator.2 works great in the rocks here where i hunt.

for lakes with clay bottoms and rocks best fit model Monstrik-10 or Monstrik-9

I like the Stealth scoop myself! :)

It can be purchased with either a six or eight inch stainless steel scoop.
