Wife and I went to the town of Alba, MI. I believe it was Est. in the early 1800's Found a few wheaties some junk and this neat Cracker Jack Token. After alittle research I believe it is from the 1930's. I found it at the old School House which is now the Alba Historical Museum.

I was "holding back" buying a probe because the pinpointing is pretty good on the Ace 250. After digging a few hundred coins and hunting around in the hole and dirt for the coin, standing up pinpointing with the Ace, hunting in the dirt again, etc., I decided to give one a try - Wow - After pinpointing with the Ace, all I had to do it pull out the Vibraprobe and tell him to "go get 'em boy." I tried out a target rich environment yesterday - digging in dirt, coins 1 to 5 inches deep, I averaged 2 minutes/coin (40 coins).

So...If you were on the fence about picking up a probe - go for it.

You are right, a probe saves a lot of time and energy, especially if you are over 60 like myself. I own a Bullseye II which is a very good probe, however it is not waterproof. I left a brand new Bullseye out in the weather and the next day it was ruined, so I ordered a VibraProbe because it is suppose to be waterproof. My newest Bullseye II will be my backup.

Sure wish GARRETT offered a decent probe!
