best ohm and frequency response headphones?

The Minelab detector frequency output range is 75 -1200Hz. The audio circuits will drive most headphones from 16 - 100 + ohms.

Headphone specifications are not really critical in a metal detector as their audio circuitry does not produce Hi-Fi quality sound. We all hear sounds differently, and our preferences for "fit" varies by user. My preference is a set of headphones with a 90-degree plug, coiled cord, large enough pads to block out external sounds, (replaceable pads is a plus), separate audio controls for each ear and a switch so I can use it with various detectors. I also wear a size 7 3/4 cap, so having a pair of headphones large enough to cover my melon, without pinching my ears, is very important for those long days in the field. With all that in mind, I also have a cheap set of "summer" headphones that have sponge covers on the speaker. Nothing fancy. But much cooler on those hot summer days. JMHO HH Randy
