Since this is the MXT Forum, I assume that you're asking about "Which MXT coil is best for nuggethunting?" Actually, the stock 950 is really very good. It is a concentric coil, which means that it gets very good depth, and yet still gives good performance in highly mineralized soil. However, most serious MXT nugget hunters use Eclipse DD coils; the 1400 for maximum depth and ground coverage, the 10x6 (the most popular) for all-around use, and the 6x4 "Shooter" for really tiny nuggets, and tighter spots. Since the Quartszite area has been heavily hunted, I'd personally opt for the 1400, which gives greater depth, an far better ground coverage (especially at depth) then the stock 950.
