I have seven Mxt, Mxt Pro, T2,Excal,Tejon,lobo s.t.,G stinger, got talked out of my Etrak for a deus although a good machine rather have the Etrak back. There are times that I go over the same spot with the same machine and find coins that Ive missed and coins that Ive missed with one machine over another and visa versa there is no one machine that shines in all situations. That being said the comparison I am referring to in regards to depth and separation is for old coins. The machine used the least is my t2 looking to see how it compares to the mxt because of money owed and finally got it back.Love to here how your opinions very,,,,,,,,,,,CEDAR

Of the ones mentioned---best deep silver/copper hunter---the Etrac (hands down).-----The CTX is a good one also for this type of hunting-----but spendy!

For deep coin hunting, the best two machines I have used are the CTX 3030 and the SE Pro. Close runner ups are the ETrac and the V3i.

In my soil the Etrak I.D.s better at greater depth and seems to miss less but the mxt has the edge in overall depth with the 10 inch dd coil tested side by side on dime 10 inches the only machine that could pull it off deus, mxt, tejon. as far as separation in nails hats off to the tejon even better than the deus with every program you can throw at it Ive tested it over and over.I know its going to make deus owners mad not that the deus does bad just not as good as the tejon even better idx pro just my opion still would like to have the etrak back........CEDAR

A lot of coins and good targets can be missed the first time hunting a new location. It seems that if good targets are found at a particular site, then it is always worth another hunt.

It could be that there was masking ferrous junk next to the good targets and when approached from a different angle they are detectable. That is why you grid a productive area at different angles.

I can not count the times when I found a good target that would only repeat in one direction of sweep. Of course using different detectors at a certain location, one detector may seem like it has an advantage over the others. Then at another location it may not do so hot:shrug:
