Best machine for snow ?

Mirco

New member
A friend of mine in Novosibirsk wants to try our hobby too. He asks what is the best detector for snow. PI or VLF? Snow is up to the knee deep but light not heavy not wet. He is rich so money no issue. He wants best.
Snow there is of white color if it matters.

also what is the best top notch snow scoop?

Thank you!

seems to be white everywhere last i checked, although been some reports of "yellow" snow from time to time!

No real answers/advice/suggestion for the important question?
OK.

I always share info when I got one never fun people through.

:sadwalk:

HUH????--I thought you got some MIGHTY good answers to a VERY perplexing question.---The only thing I could further ad would be to walk backwards, directly behind the snowblower--use a PI unit--& be prepared to DIG EVERYTHING.--This procedure MAY work better in YELLOW snow!!!

There is no good machine for snow, at least not that deep!! The PI unit will be close, but you will have to dig everything! As for a scoop, none will work. The snow will clump together and won't go through the scoop. A shovel is the only thing that will work. What is he planning to look for in the snow???

There's SOMETHING pileing up here--and IT AIN'T snow!!!!---I think we're ALL going to have to have a scoop shovel here pretty quick (and hip boots).:yikes:

Any thing you can clean the snow down to a workable level will work.Even a good old fashioned snow shovel. Then use an F75, or Xs Minelab for the depth.
But, I might add. You will have a hard time digging frozen ground for sure. You may have to use a maddock for ground penatration. A bucket of hot water will work for dropping the dirt in and seperating the finds from frozen ground. If you are serious good luck. It will take time and effort. I have known a few who had success. It is hard keeping the water warm but you can set the bucket on your running engine in a metal pail. This will keep it sorta warm.
