Best indoor lighting? (using a Sony FD75)

Hey guys! During the summer getting good pics didn't seem to be a problem. Just the extra light shining in added enough to my lamp to brighten the photos quite good. Now that the winter gloom is here I can't take a shot worth ^#%#$. Sure I can use my program to add light but you lose way too much quality. I guess the question is what is the closest thing to natural light that I can buy off a shelf. Thanks for enlightning me on the subject.

Is that an extra? My camera does have a flash. I'm good at finding the stuff but I don't know squat about taking pictures or the hardware.

I just checked out your camera at B&H. They show two views of your camera; front/back. Problem is that it doesn't appear to have a hot-shoe that would allow you to add an external flash. Does it have a plug or receptacle soemwhere for flash cord? If not, you may be out of luck.
