Best Hunting tip you will ever get

I was hunting to day and the Owner of the Property came driving up on his tractor. He asked me to do him a favor and pick up any nails or wire I ran across. I pointed at the Gate and told him to look in the White 5 Gallon bucket. I always carry a 5 Gallon Bucket for trash.

I told him that I always picked up any metal I found and that was the purpose of the 5 Gallon bucket. He was on a Brand Spanking new Kubota tractor at the time. He thanked me and left. I noticed that instead of driving off he went to the gate and looked in the Bucket. The Bucket was almost full of trash.

He then drove all the way back to me and thanked me. He then told me to take my time nobody else was going to be allowed on the Property until I got through. He told me that every piece in the Bucket had the potential to cost him a Hundred dollars for a flat.

For some reason he thought that I was putting iron and trash back in the hole. I told him that I wanted to come back and I did not want to dig anything twice. The Guy was so happy he shredded me a place to hunt.

My father taught me to do the same thing when I first began hunting the water with him as a child. All these years later, now that detecting is popular, whenever a police officer, park ranger or life guard ask me what I'm doing...I open my pouch, show them all the trash & glass and say "cleaning the beach!" :detecting:
