Best hunt since the early 70s

[/img] Wow what a place virgin ground . Had to help my sister move a 110 miles away didn't get done till 3 o'clock so I took the back way home . Was really hot and sweatie pull into this hick bar in the middle of nowhere there was a old ball diamond there . Ordered up a cold one as he was pouring it I ask him if I could metal detect the ball diamond He said no problem , He also showed me where the concession stand used to be . He said the bar has been there since the mid 40s they played almost ever day from the mid 50s to the mid 60s. I thanked him for permission and started hunting second sweep 3 12.43s I'm thinking Penny's no 2 mercs and a rosy so I hunted till 9 o'clock till the mosquitoes about drained the beer I had drank . This place reminded me of some of the places I hunted in the early 70s 3 4 and 5 dollars of silver a day and Lot's of copper. If only I had a car back then but just had a bike didn't get a car till 74 then I got to travel 50% of the places were hit already but you could always come away with 5 or 6 silvers and a bunch of wheat's . So I went and had another beer with the owner and showed him what I found .I said pick one out whatever you want he says no I don't want any I said I insist so he grabs the walker and I say is it alright if I can get a picture of it and when I come back I will give you it He said no problem . Don't know when I can get back there been working 70 hours a week but I'm going back as soon as I can .Hope you guys got out . sube

Simply AMAZING HUNT!!! I can't even imagine a hunt like that Sube! Congrats! I was in my junior year of HSBC in 74, even then I thought metal detecting would be fun, I'll always kick myself for not getting into the hobby back then instead of waiting till I retired lol. Great hunt!
