Best headphones to use with an Omega

Need some help here....What are the best headphones to use with the Omega in terms of comfort, cost effectiveness, and sound detection quality?

I can only compare the two sets I have, Grey Ghost and Black Widow. The Black Widow's seem to have a little better sound detection quality and are very comfortable. The Grey Ghosts are a little thinner, hence a little less profile, and those I use mainly on my LTD when relic hunting in the bush. The Black Widow's I use on the Omega when old coin hunting and they seem to bring the sound in a bit better on deep coins. My hearing, however, is 71 years old. HH jim tn

Jim, your posts have a lot to do with my decision to purchase the Omega...I do appreciate your input.

Did you look at Sun Ray's or Killer Bee's?

That depends on your pocket book. If your not ready to spend a ton of cash for the best of the best then just look for a decent pair of dual volume headphones that have the same specifications that the fat cats have. You should be able to find a quality pair in the $20 to $40 price range used or $30 to $50 new. Check with Amazon or Feebay.
But if your wallet is fat then I loved my Sun Ray Pro Golds. I had almost all the top of the line headphones and these sound perfect and are very comfortable. IMHO, Woodstock

Qz-99's are excellent. But then I tried the Philips O'neill SHO9561/28 over ear headphones. $46.46 on Ama*on. Light as a feather, virtually indestructible, as they are built specifically for outdoor sports use. Excellent sound qualities. Big 40mm speakers. Incredibly comfortable. And I do mean COMFORTABLE. They are meant for Ipod's, which means they are built for low power output devices (like metal detectors are), while producing awesome sound replication. Cord is 1.3 meters in length. Breakaway cord in case the cord gets severely yanked on. Just the right length IMHO. The cord is a tough thick gauge fabric coated single wire. Headphone works beautifully on my Omega.
Downside, the model mentioned is white. If you want the same exact unit in black, you will pay double the price. And the fabric coated cord will definitely get permanently discolored from the dirt. 1 year warranty unlike the Koss lifetime.

I love Killer Bee's. I have extremely sensitive ears and they produce a nicer tone than Grey Ghosts do to me.
