If u guys r like me lookin to save some money and in need of a great hand digging took....google true temper 7 in 1 planters buddy. This tool is amazing and its lost 10 bucks. I got mine at "loeks.

[size=large]give it a few hunts in hard ground. then decide what true value is. if it's the one i think it is then one bad thing about it is it gets slippery when muddy and wet. you have the danger of sliding down the blade with your hand. has happened a few times to some already. the blade won't stand up to prying up the dirt. but time will teach you if i'm right or wr... wr..... wr...... incorrect. save up for the lesche. you probly already are.

Thanks

I have used the one from Lowes...also have a Lesche.
My normal tool is just a cheap hunting knife from a garage sale. BUT there are reasons for this being my choice that may not apply to you.
I hunt grassy park and school grounds. No real roots or rocks to contend with so sawing and prying aren' really needed in my target retrievals.
The ground around here is pretty soft. 400 days of rain per year will do that y'know so the effort to cut into the ground is minimal.
I like being able to just file a new edge on my knives...blade gets a bit too narrow I just keep my eyes open at a garage sale for another cheapo hunting knife.
Like I said...I do own and use a Lesche on occasion but it is pretty much overkill for many hunting areas..and perfect for others.
