Best Garrett Beach Detector?

What is Garrett's best salt water beach detector?

Would appreciate hearing from those using Garretts
Pulse machines for the beach.

THanks!
Larry

There is no "best" detector of any kind - only the detector that is best for you. What someone else considers the best for them might be lousy for you. Only you can determine which one fits you and your needs, your expertise, hunting style, areas you hunt, ground conditions, etc. There is no "universal" detector that fits everyone and every area.

Bill.

depends what you want: water proof or just for sand? if you want just sand, get the ace 350 because it's not very expensive and its pretty good with salt. if you want to risk getting wet, get the AT pro.

Garrett's own literature suggests the AT is not recommended for the surf hunting which seems to mean salt water and the wet sand associated with salt water (since another category is dry beach / fresh water hunting). The models "highly recommended" for surf hunting are the Sea Hunter and Infinium which of course both use PI technology. You can download the catalog at the Garrett site, then see page 38 which shows a table of models along with hunting applications.

From your description I must assume you will not be getting the coil wet.
The dry beach sand is not much of a challenge for any good detector.
In that case the 1500 and 2500 and even the ACE 250 / 350 will work well.

The PI detectors (Infinium and SeaHunter Mark II) will detect a bit deeper and will perform a lot better in the wet saltwater sand.
This is good if you are hunting wet sand at low tides.

My 1350 does a great job on San Diego beachs, easy to use and has a salt mode -
I found alot of items from small rings to cell phones and i been pulling stuff from under the M guys here for two summers
Happy Hunting
Bob
