Best Find With My V3I

I like gold and silver..and old coins too. For me this historic find tops it.
BTW I am starting to realize the 5.3 eclipse works best for me. I have a 4x6 on order. The V is very sensitive and I'm finding too many signals under my larger coils creates noise. Since I switched to the smaller coil I am making better finds and my machine is much more stable. I can also run the gain a little higher.

Congratulations on a truely historical find!

I think that you are going to like your new 4X6 coil. At many sights, the better target seperation and smaller footprint affords better effective depth. Also, the ability to swing that little coil in tight places can open new ground at previously hard hit sights. Best of luck and...

The 5.3 is often my "go to coil". The 4x6 is just to small for me, I'll keep it for the rare occasion though.

Sweet find the historical stuff sometimes pleases more than the gold and silver. Hey what kind of depth have you been getting with the 5.3? I have one but don't use it in fear that ill miss that deep target.

I have only done 2 hunts with the 5.3 with my V3I It was my main coil when I used my DFX. I'm running pretty hot and not seeing a big difference from the 9.5. With the 9.5 I have to turn down the RX to get it to run stable on some beaches. I just hear the targets better with the 5.3 Depends on the beach that's for sure. On a clean beach I've run my super 12 cranked up. Some beaches I hunt you can get a 100 targets in a 10 foot area others I can walk a half mile without a peep. So it really is dependent on where your hunting.
