Best find so far made with the AT Pro.

Been MDing since August, until a couple weeks ago with my ACE 350, now with the AT Pro.
Hunted a school I found on Google Earth as it was being built in 1944. Most of the property was fenced so I hunted the grass between the U drive and the sidewalk. The other grassy areas had soil added and all I found were some modern clad. Got a lot of chatter, in standard and pro modes, but I kept the sensitivity up full. Found two Wheaties, my first, within 10 feet of each other. One at 4 inches and the other at 6 inches. Also got a lot of very faint high tones that gave no vdi. The dates on the two Wheaties are very faint so I didn't try to take pictures. One is a '55 and the other I think is a '56. I had the machine in coin mode, flipping between standard and pro, while I learn the machine in pro. The ground was water logged and several holes filled with water as I dug. I didn't think to switch to zero and I'd like to go back and try again. Maybe dig a few of those faint high tones I heard. I'm still hunting for silver.

My advice about coin mode...don't use it. Just use iron discrimination to 36-40 and all the rest of the notches to "on". Seriously. Depending upon soil type, length of time in the ground, rainfall, interferences, decay state of the coin, etc., etc., etc., coin mode may not register an actual coin. Learn all of the sounds...grasshopper.

Grumpy it wouldn't hurt to dig those faint targets. may be some good stuff down there. Could be some old deep silver. good luck.

yes yes dig those faint deep no vid signals good stuff may very well be found

Dido on digging those faint deep targets! If it sounds sweet even in one direction..that's evan a better indicator for me to dig!

As you learn the language of the machine the finds get better and better and better. The only real discriminator is a digger.

Congrats on the firsts, sounds like you're getting "in the swing"! Much more to come, and a lot more fun when you don't have to contend with the muck!
