New member
As the title says.
Want to get the DETECH 13 INCH ULTIMATE COIL.
Plus have the option of swapping out for a smaller one.
What reliable one to use.
Many thanks from not so sunny Cornwall

Hi chipmonky, I live just up from you in devon:) I've got an Excalibur 1000, I was wondering about changing coils, do you have to send the detector back to the factory? Good luck, mate water wizard

Just do it yourself....or someone that can solder....and a good pair of glasses..

Fair play oldbeachnut, you did a great job. I think I would still be scared to try that myself, maybe with some more practice on cheaper things first........great video :)

Will do.
Stuck working for the next 10 days but after that there is some nice lows coming.
Was thinking of going Woolacombe had some nice bits of there in the past if your up for it :detecting:

Just got a lathe a few months ago and been making endcaps for some custom setups, here is one....Working with eugene in spain on these, It's just like the ikelite battery connector but for the coil, you unscrew the plug from the Pod to replace the coil. Maybe something next year after more testing from eugene...
Same with the Skullies, 10 hunters testing UWspeakered headphones for the summer..endcap to headphones, with different gel ear pads

Hi chipmonky, I've tried messaging you but I don't think it is sending the messages. I'm up for hunting woolacombe, but i'm away detecting in mallorca from 7th to 14th march. Message me or text 07811139854. Cheers water wizard
