Best Detector for money?

What's the best detector you can get for around $400 or less? I had a Garrett Ace 250 before and I was wondering if there was anything better without spending a fortune. The 250 was OK but it felt a little like a toy. Thanks...

For $400.00 you will be lucky to get a detector that has as many bells & whistles as the ACE series, unless you take a chance and order a machine made in China, which isn't a good option for most people. Why not spend a little more and get the AT Pro, which has more options then the ACE Series and is also water proof. The AT Pro works as well and sometimes better then detectors costing over $1,000.00 and they aren't even water proof.

Johns right Bubba, buy the A T Pro best detector for the bucks.

Nothing wrong with the Ace 250, but I hated the BELL Tone.

Add a bigger coil and add cam locks to the 250 it it changes the feel a lot, I like the bell tone that's a money sound to me! I have the 350 and love it!
