Best Coil for deep silver
Explorer SE pro

Hi would appreciate hearing your opinions experiences and thoughts, I want to buy a new deep seeking coil that will allow me to detect deeper than my Detech 12X10 S.E.F, it seams to be a good coil but dos not go quiet as deep as I would like, it is finding small roman coins at 4" to 5" but nothing deeper, the field has been plowed to about 8" to 10" in the past and I am shore there are more just out of reach, would like to detect 12" is there a coil out there that will give me that depth on small silver?
Thanks and good hunting,
Duncan. Anglesey Wales UK.

He sure does work his coil high off the ground in the video, looks like 5 or 6 inches in the air. I bet the stock coil would have hit those coins by eliminating the airspace?

Thanks will try a WOT 15" as it looks like it works well on small coins, video very helpful even thou the coins were not deep, ground freshly plowed and the coil was having flying lessons, it may pay me to tern the ground over.
Duncan.

Is that considered a slow sweep speed for the Explorer? I swing my DFX slower than that. I have always heard that the explorers were extreme slow sweep machines. I have not had one in my hands yet but I have an SE on the way.and i don't think I will have any problems if I can still swing that fast. And I have also heard great things about the WOT 15"

WOT 15 dose go that bit deeper got me two good roman first century one bronze and one silver 69AD on the silver, bronze dose not do so good in the soil here, the sit I have worked with the SEF 10X12 dug every thing down to nails, I did find the WOT would pick up hot rocks which I was digging, think one may be a stone tool.
To sum up the WOT bear in mind only just got it, it dose go deeper than the SEF 10X12 but only 2" or 3" it is heavy but you get a break digging deep holes in to the past.

SWING FAST FOR SHALLOW SILVER BUT 3 SECONDS FROM ONE SIDE TO THE OTHER TO PICK UP THAT QUICK HIGH SILVER BEEP FOR DEEPER THAN 4" COINS.
