Novice, Best Choice? 250 orGtp1350

For coin shootin at the park (ace250)
Going to an old homestead or maybe relic hunting id go for the GTP1350. NOT THAT the ace cant handle it but i believe the 1350 would give that little exta umph + you can get the 1350 with a free 10X14 DD coil for $559.00

I do not have either one ,but the 250 would be a great starter. It is light and easy to use. The 1350 would take a bit more to get used to. The 1350 has a wider variety of coils to choose from though. I have an older 1000 that i started with and now also have a 2500. What part of the country are you in and what do you think you will be hunting for most. These types of questions will help for others to give you some help.

For a Novice the Ace 250 is the best Choice.
For just 199 $ there isn't a risk that you loose money if you find out later that detecting is not for you. Since i saw used ones selling for 170 $ you can try this hobby for 29 $ for a few month.
And the Ace is the right detector to get you started and have fun and success.For just 60 more bucks you can buy a small 4.5 coil to find these silver coins around old houses.
I couldn't think of a better detector to start this hobby with.The Ace 250 is not only a detector for starters because even some pros use it to have fun.

For a newbie, the 250 hands down.
