Best Camera to buy

Many cameras have been discontinued like Kodak due to the new phones. I want something that has macro, easiest software of editing and posting and I don't care about price. Should I go with a camera and avoid the cost of a phone contract? What camera would You buy right now? I was told to wait until February or March to get a new model. I don't need all the stuff a phone can do at my age I'd never use it.

I thought about that Bart, thanks for your reply and the E-Trak you sold to me.It's a great machine and my learning progress is coming along well. Use it, use it, use it is the only way to learn along with this forum.HH
