best beach detector

What is the best surf detector? I plan on using on GA, SC, NC and FL coast and would like to buy a used one for under $500. I plan on wading no more than waist deep. I know everyone has brand favorites. I own 2 land detectors of different brands now and each has its own pros and cons. I'm also looking for a 5.3 Eclipse coil for my DFX.
 
The best beach detector is the one you master... You will be hard pressed to find a good one unless its used for $500.00 Stay away from the Chinese detectors they are generally trash. I believe its 75% the person who is behind the detector and 25% to the detector on how successful you will be. You will get a lot responses to which one is the best but as far as I am concerned I have the best lol...
 
get a used Beach Hunter ID. They can be had for $500 at times..The Beach hunter is a Water proof DFX. I love it easy to use chest mount it. heres mine with straight shaft and chest mount bag [attachment 45434 HPIM0596LargeLarge.JPG] heres my best coin this fall [attachment 45435 HPIM0582Large.JPG]
 
is EXPLORER (knee deep) shallow water and wet sand simply the best.
28 frequency, 30 tone ID, discrimination program (personally i discriminate only fer), 2 dimensional display, audio, gain control.
Which detector can beat it??
