Best AA Recharge Ion batteries for Etrac?

I already have a nitecore charger that will work for Lithium Ion batteries. I have been using Powerex Ni-cad 2700 rechargeable. They work for about 8-10 hours. Anybody have ideas for Lithium? Thanks

working prototype 3 x 18650's Panasonics 3400 mah just run 2 wires out the rechargeable pack to make the connection down inside and then you can put the pack where ever you want I am making mine longer wider etc.. cable tie to the foot like it is so keep the thing stable when I put it down.

just use XT-60 plugs I have a Turnigy Accucel-6 charger so I can just plug in to the pack don't have to remove it or the battery's from the pack and I can see when its charged to 12.5 volts.

just used one of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Plastic-Battery-Storage-Case-Box-Holder-For-3x18650-3-7V-With-Wire-Leads-EV/272249098726?_trksid=p2045573.c100506.m3226&_trkparms=aid%3D555014%26algo%3DPL.DEFAULT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20150817211709%26meid%3Deeadfe5e985c4db89080c7ed332df178%26pid%3D100506%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26 to hold the battery's and off you go or something like that :bouncy:

Just need the best aa Lithium rechargeable batteries. been looking on ebay at Kenli and Jugee. Anybody use them?

I would just get the RNB ,,,,, comes with the charger and you can use the NiMh for backups if they're the latest generation with decent shelf life.
AA Lithium rechargables are pretty new and I would rather wait awhile to see how they fare before dropping 6 to 10 bucks apiece for them. The number recharge cycles in real life are what I would be concerned about

my set up max 70$ and longer run time than the rnb but if your not in to tinkering I would buy the rnb over those lithium ion AA battery's they are 4.2 volt battery's with a circuit in them to drop to 1.5 volts granted detectors don't pull huge amps but still most of the energy gets burnt off as heat.

so if you tinker use the 3 18650's https://www.fasttech.com/products/1420/10001980/2204400-authentic-panasonic-ncr18650b-3-7v-3400mah

or buy the rnb if you are not a tinkerer, I wouldn't bother with the AA ones.

my pack with those Panasonics 40 hrs at a guess.

and if you have other detectors that run on 12 volts and design a quick release system for the pack you can use it on those detectors as well.

so they are the facts as I see them.

I thought Lithium Ion batteries are in the RNB?

has anybody tried the Jugee Lithium Ion batteries?

Bought Eneloop PRO from Amazon for $30.00 for 8. Cheapest price I have seen. The key is to have the batteries that are made in japan. Hope they work as well as I have read. Will report. They will be here tomorrow.

why could U not use 3 18650's Panasonics 3400 and 5 dummy batteries? It would save all the wiring.

I mean using 14500 3.7 volt batteries? put 2 on one side and 1 on the other. 5 dummie batteries. Equal 12.5 fully charged.

Bought 3 nitecore 3.7v 750mah lithium aa batteries. Have 8 dummy batteries coming also. Am going to put the 3 3.7V batteries and the dummies and see how it goes. Will let U know.

I ordered a miltimeter to check the voltage on my pack once I get my batteries installed in my slimpack. Will check voltage at the end of each hunt until the batteries die to see how it goes.

I currently have my e-trac on in my garage testing the new Eneloop Pros I just got. Want to see what voltage it has aver being on for 4 hours.

Check out this video of a battery compartment for the e-trac

I had the Eneloop Pros in my E-trac for 5.5 hours with the backlite one. The voltage of the batteries were 1.42 when I put them in. It was 1.31v when I took them out. It was still on 3 bars. Normally my Powerex 2700s from japan would at least be half gone on power after this amount of time. When I get a chance I will do a full drain of these batteries to see how far the etrac will go with them. I am estimating that they will go at least 20 hours. These Eneloops are made in japan and not China. Got them from amazon.

I've got about 18 hrs on my RNB battery. I hunt with the back light on. It's still showing full bar's. Best investment you can buy for your machine.

But If I can make a battery pack for 30 bucks then I am money ahead of the RNB battery. Just trying to same money and have a great battery. Some of the people in this forum might not want to shell out 139 dollars and would like to have a cheaper alternative. If I can save a hundred dollars I can my my 10th coil. LOL

there is a guy on ebay selling 3d printed battery packs that hold 3 x 18650's and go inside the detector great idea have one on its way so $50 set up fee battery holder/batterys/charger and a better pack than the band name one quoted above mah wise as you can use the current highest mah battery's anyway will update on my thoughts when it arrives.

there are people thinking out there and for me its all about power to weight and nothing beats 18650's to date.

good to see people thinking how to save a few bucks and yes better added for another coil :bouncy:

The Best Rechargeable Batt Pack and Charger in the World is the RNB Innovations ML-3100 for the ETRAC......................................!

I just ordered the battery Holder off Ebay from the person in Russia. I plan on using a 3400Mah battery. It will rock I am sure. Nothing against other batteries but using a 18650 3.7 3400 battery will make the etrac last a long time. Will post results of my 14500 3 battery combo next week. Pic attached. I am excited about this new idea. These batteries are really light.
