Belt Strap?

Another find in my yard this evening, at 6 inches deep. This is a thin piece of metal almost 3 inch long and 2 inches wide, I believe it was used to hold together a leather strap for animals or something, I do not know.

Looks like it has some type of fabric still adhering to it. Or is it just my eyes? Interesting find. HH

Isn't that the truth. Sometimes not knowing and leaving your imagination to wonder is half the fun though.
