Belt Buckle Help

Hi everyone, Im looking for any help on finding a place on the internet that might provide pictures of old belt buckles.
I was hunting an old
school today and found what looks to be an old belt buckle, my guess is either brass or copper it has two faces on it one on each side of the buckle the faces look to have crowns on them and they have flowing hair. Also there looks to be writing on both sides but it dosent look to be English they are more like symbols {looks like a moon some triangles and backward 5's and alot I can't make out for sure}
Im pretty sure its old cause I had to dig up and remove a cobblestone to get to it.
I would really be greatful for any help

Maybe if you could get it into an ultrasonic cleaner for awhile, it might bring the "writing" out clearer and I'm pretty sure it won't damage the piece although I would check with an expert first. ( Which I definitely am not !) That thing is awesome, especially the faces ! Good luck.
