Can anyone give me any ideas on the date of these items? I dug them in Northeastern PA this past weekend.

I don't know about exactly what that buckle is but its very sweet and a lot of CW buckles look like that. the medalion doesn't look old.

I looked around a bit and the wreath on the buckle is identical to a North Carolina buckle. I imagined someone removing it from a dead Confederate soldier and bringing it home to Pennsylvania with him after the war.

The eagle on the medal is an 1800s style. I didn't have time to look for that yet.

Very nice !

You guys finding these great civil war relics have me drooling  Congratulations on a great find. -- Randy

A shame that the other part of that buckle is missing....if it were me I'd be out there, even in this heat, looking for the other half...lol. Looks to be in incredible condition.

Believe me, I would be out there but, I'm 2 1/2 hours away. I've been visiting my sister up that way for 3 weekends since and including 4th of July.

I've found silver each trip. This trip netted me a 1925 Mercury Dime, a no date Buffalo nickel, a 1907 Indian head penny and 14 early date wheats along with $13+ in clad change.
