Never been MDing before, this is my second time out with my MXT Pro and hit this baby 8"+ down with a solid hit.
Beginners luck, maybe, but I did a lot of research this winter and it looks like it paid off.

AWESOME find !! what year is your 3 cent piece??? Some of them are woth quite a lot!!! What part of the country are you in???

Larry is right on track . The last two numbers are worn off so I'm not sure. It doesn't matter to me though, I am thrilled to find it and it is a confidence builder for sure. It isn't worth much because of it's condition so I cleaned it up and it looks fine.
