It's almost too easy to research sites with the tools we have on the web. Remember when you heard of a good site. You talked to the elders in the area. Went to the library any went through the many books to find that elusive site. Then try to find the owners for permission. It took a long time! Now if we hear of a site we search on the web. Quickly read about it. Then we use satellite pictures to check it out. Topo the site if needed. Check out old maps of the site. Request permits if needed. All in about 20 minutes. Having the right tools is wonderful!
