I have edited all three posts made by a new member of the forum. In his first post, he listed the name of his website. In his second post, he mentions the name of his company, and tells us where we can buy his product. In his third post, he lists three dealers who sell his product, two of which are not sponsors of Findmall. Although he stated that he had reached out to Guvner, asking how to raise himself to a "level of respectability", he was not given permission to advertise for his company or non-sponsoring dealers. Nor did he request to become a forum sponsor himself. So... instead of deleting his posts (as was recommended), I've removed the name of his company, his website address and the names of the two dealers who don't help sponsor this forum, from his three posts. I've also instructed this member to contact Guvner with any questions.

I've volunteered to help with this forum since it's inception. During that time, I've had very few "negative encounters" with members. But there are usually some who write me nasty messages after posts are deleted or edited. To save the time and energy that it takes to respond to the messages and explain the situation, I decided to make this post. If any of you have any further questions as to why the posts were edited, you can contact the Guvner. And if any of you want to help moderate this forum, by all means, don't hesitate to contact the Guvner.

I know it is mostly a thankless job. Appropriate rules and guidelines need to be followed to keep this the great site it is.

I agree with the first two posts that are positive, good job and thanks for dedicating your time & energy for doing it! I can't understand why people would write negative stuff to you or any moderater on the forum for simply doing the right thing but know it happens. I used to moderate and admin one myself a few years back, people don't realize, or care how much time and effort goes into it or just don't care when they want their way. Its too bad that its gotten to the point that you even need to write anything in the way of explaining what you did to anyone.

Good job Digger. I have a lot of respect for you because of the way you carry yourself on the forum. You do the job right and you give respect where respect is due. A little bit of that can go a long way.

As for moderating, it would be nice to have someone with similar characteristics as yourself. No one is EXACTLY alike, but they can be all the above and do the job right as well if dedication follows. A bonus for a moderator to have is some computer skills. That can make the site go far as well.

Is Guvner very active or does he like to fly under the radar? It maybe from me not looking hard enough, but I have not noticed anything in a while from him.
