I freaked out my wife by going through my three ring binder and throwing out all the other mfg catalogs and field tests and stuff I had copied until I was just left with my Tesoro and Fisher stuff.
I told her I had the ones I would be using for the next few years and there wasn't any point in keeping any of that other stuff. I got the Golden for clad and jewelry and the Coin$trike for coins and relics. Though I have a sneaking suspicion that I may be able to turn the C$ into a Jewelry$trike with just alittle experience

good luck mike i too just got a c$ and have been playing with it and man does it throw me a fit . cant really read it yet . iffy targets yeild a coin sometimes and a good solid hit and i mean a solid hard hit will most times yeild one .. but reading through all the falsing mine does is sometimes hard . wonder how many good targets i have missed so far ? after i go over a area most times i go back with my explorer and or quattro and do it again and vice a versa and each one of the machines seems to miss something. so which is better.don

I've been out to places I have beat to death with C$, CZ70, CZ5, Cortes, Whites, & bounty hunters and still find stuff, but just a lot less of it the more I hit that area.
On iffy targets once you hit them at different angles a lot of the time the numeric reading will start jumping. If that happens, it could be a good target, but mostlikely its junk, or it could be a good target in a hole with junk. The only thing to do is walk away or dig. If you dig you could find something or not. If you walk away, then the target will be there for you to find some other time with some other machine.
You are sounding discouraged, but the C$ is a complex machine and has a learning curve of a good 40-50 hours.
Good luck,
Mike

Hi Don. I am jealous. You already got yours and get to ask questions
All my machines have falsed at higher sensitivity settings based upon the ground so I wouldn't worry about that, just turn it down.
I think my biggest challange will be learning a new sweep speed and coil overlap. Tesoro with a widescan coil is pretty forgiving on overlap and does ok slow. From what I have read on this forum, sweep speed is a key ingredient to success with the C$, so I plan to use low settings (sens & thres) and get that down first.
Why did you buy a C$?
