since my F5 has not arrived yet to begin the video. Instead I hooked up with some of my hunting buddies in the Boston area. I have only been able to get up there for 1 day, and recent flooding has shut down our efforts temporarily. But, here's a shot of many of the better finds layed out including my favorite so far, that nice thick green cathederal pickle. Can anyone ID the 2 pieces of stoneware with the holes? My buddy found them side by side, and we keep calling them "collendars"? Anyone know if this is the correct use or name for them?
I got several soda's and after this pic was taken a "J & I.E.M." turtle ink that unfortunately had lip chips.....
Anyone who bought my Season 1 DVD, Thanks again, & you will know where this glass came from (like say episode 4) ;)
(I shot some video & may get it online soon hopefully......)

Nice finds Bill.

I'm not sure but those stoneware collendars could be worth a little jack. I won't be around this weekend but I might be able to get an estimate on the value of them on Monday. There is a man here in Huntingburg, Indiana that deals in that sort of thing. Heck, they might have been made here. There used to be a UHL pottery factory here back in the day.
Is there any kind of a mark or name on them? What state were they found in?

You are right, those holed items sure look like colanders, they would have had a metal bail which I'm sure rusted out. Nice cathedral pickle and it looks like you got an amber ink. Great looking collection. Do you ever find any Stoddard glass? The factory was 10 minutes from me and the glass is very collectible.

I wish I had the time to bottle dig, I used to do it as a kid. I detect a lot of cellar holes and I know they all have dumps nearby. Maybe when I "retire" I'll get back into it. Ron
