It's good to see some familiar faces but man am I ever surprised at how many new handles there are on the Beach and Water forum. This site has really grown and that's a good thing.
I picked up my PADI certification this year, cashed in a bunch of loot at ARA and had a good run until the sand shifted for the worse back in April. I'm leaving Bermuda after 6 years at the end of this month so I don't have much more hunting time left, I'll try to pry a little more loot out of Davey Jones' Locker before I leave.

Fair Winds and Calm Seas,

BDA:cool:

Good to see you back. Leaving that fine place after six years can't be any fun.
Where will you be going? Good luck.

I was wondering what happened to you. I have had similar luck here.....a lot of waves and swollen seas have moved sand in and out here. NO targets except for the aluminum. I haven't posted last 2 weeks of finds, but after 3 months of hardly any targets, they seem to be showing themselves again. Doesn't hurt High season starts soon. Sorry your leaving Bermuda. I guess your wife's permit and job are wrapping up there? At least you have had the last year to work on your detecting skills and get your PADI. Sweet. I also cashed in with ARA. Great experience, very nice people and got paid a little more than expected. Stay in touch, even if you go back home and have to search TOT lots.....hahahaha. I fucking hate metal detecting inland.

Chris

We've budgetted for a year and a half of travel, plus or minus. If we find someplace along the way that is really special then we'll come back to it at the end of the trip and set down new roots. Rest assured that there will beaches throughout the journey.

I really enjoyed hunting the Treasure Coast with you and I wouldn't be surprised if our paths cross again, we surf pirates have a way of running into each other even if it is only to share a yarn and a mug of rum. Say Hi to the Grandson from your 'Canadian' friend.:lmfao:

I have to be honest and say that as much as I have enjoyed my time in Bermuda I am looking forward to my next adventure. 6 years is a long time for a surf pirate like me to stay in one place, moss starts to form on the keel and that's never a good thing. We'll hunt again, preferrably someplace with waters warmer than the Labrador Current, BRRR!:heh:
