Been a while since I detected

I received my Lithium Ion battery today for my Explorer. Only took about 2 hours to charge.
Went out back for just a few minutes and dug some square nails. I kind of thought they might be iron but figured, what the heck. LOL. At least they won't be there when I come back.
I have to get used to the sounds all over again. When my detecting bud got sick, we just didn't detect. Now that he died, I have to do it alone. Not much comradery in that.

I have to get used to those really deep faint coins all over again. The really nice thing about detecting is I am concentrating so much on what I'm doing that all the cares of the world are gone.

Hey Tony,

Sorry to hear about your friend passing. My detecting buddy of many years decided to call it quits several years ago when his detector died. Last year he bought a detector to get back into it only to have it stolen out of his car. Says he's done for good now.

We had a lot of great times road tripping all over the place. Mostly hunted private yards. I miss that. But time moves on for me.

You'll love how long those batteries last. And they hold a charge seemingly forever.
