bed liner

Hey Fellas, anyone heard of applying bed liner material to coil? Would it make it water proof? Would it hurt effiency? That stuff is really tuff. Thanks , Denny

I don't know if applying something will effect the efficiency of the coil but if you were going to try something how about a can of flex seal. The spray rubber in a can you see on TV. Might be easier to peel off if you decided you didn't like it. Or use it just around the seam of the coil. Just an idea I don't think I will put anything on mine but if you decide to let us know how it works

I don't even use coil cover.
To me you lose depth what ever you use
How long would it take to wear a hole in the bottom?
I'm only 75 so maybe I should use one

I tried bed liner on the bottom of my coils and it didn't hold up. I tried flex seal two years ago and it is holding up great and there is no sign of any wear.

around here, most of us use loctite marine expoxy and do not use coil cover at all.

we have tried spray on bedliner and it does ok, but wears off really fast - the epoxy will wear off also after time and most apply 2 coats.
now this flex seal stuff - I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT IT, BUT IT SURE SOUNDS GOOD.
F Y I - only
