Beauty from the dregs

About 6 months ago we were redoing our front border and my wife pulled these bulbs of rain lilies. She put them aside in the bucket - no dirt, just naked bulbs. Today I saw them in bloom - the rains here had kept them moist.

This sure is a lesson on how beauty/achievement/ success/ etc can come from the barest of society.
We probably all know of a person who grew up out of a bad situation to be a bloomer in life.

I bet they will be planted now and you guys will enjoy them for years to come.

Those are so nice they almost look plastic. Pretty flowers.

Those blooms are really pretty and out of snow-covered mountains and bare rocks grow trees, plants and flowers with barely any soil to hold onto, but they live or most do anyway, although some will dry up and die....depending on their stronghold in life and our stronghold is Jesus by holding onto His unchanging hand! Amen! Ma

Very Beautiful! Ma's story reminds me of one of Jesus stories about some 'seed' falling among rocky ground that sprang up quickly and died because they had little soil to nourish them.
