This one had a VDI OF 53 (which is usually a pulltab VDI) with a depth of 10+ before I removed the first scoop of dirt. The AT PRO ( the beast) gets good dept in fresh water, my primary hunting. My finds today 13 quarters,(seems to be a lucky number for me) 14 nickles,11dimes, 44 pennies ,a baby photo on an aluminum disc and a foriegn that reads Calos I Rey D Espana on the front and Cien Pesetas on the back 1983. (school me someone one this coin).

Here is the info on the 100 Pesetas coin , its from Spain and was apperantly demonetized 02-28-2002

I found a 1 Peseta dated 1963 two weeks ago at the beach. Mine has Franco on the front. Was in good condition for how long its been lost.

Btw was that a silver ring or gold?

10K GOLD AND HEAVY WITH A BLUE ONYX GEM STONE

Is the stone translucent? Onyx is not and normally it is a cabochon cut. Can't tell from the pic but that looks like it might be translucent and faceted. Maybe irradiated blue topaz, sapphire, iolite or even cz?

It's translucent and faceted Sailorman. I looked up onyx on the web and it looked nothing like this stone.Thank you!

No problem! Long ago in my younger days I worked with gemstones a little. Occasionally I get something right! No matter what that's still a great ring!

Here is a better pic of the stone. It is darker in color it than in the photos. I also found this odd looking piece. I don't have a clue to what it is. I put it in with my trash. It look like a piece of burnt metal gold color maybe melted brass. I am soaking it to get a better look.

That's a good looking ring. Question is whether it's a synthetic stone or a neutral. If it's a good grade natural sapphire it's worth a few $$$. If it's synthetic then the golg alone is worth a bit. Could always run it by a gemologist for an opinion!

I had it appraised by two jewelerys. The stone is a saphire but it's synthetic. The gold is worth a lot more than I thought and I am happy for that!
