Went detecting Saturday and Sunday, was able to find several wheat penny's to put me at 102 wheat's for the season.Found the ugliest copper skull ring on Sunday along with a United Skates of America, roller skating, Caesarland, and a no cash value tokens. The religious pendant is plated junk, also found 9 keys. After work today decided to hunt a soccer field on the way home from work, got a solid VDI of 84-85 repeating and thought another quarter, out pops this gold ring.I stuffed in my pocket thinking it must be plated or junk due to the high VDI.Finished after an hour got back to the car and cleaned it up, looked at the loupe and there it is, 24k! Weighs 3.7grams.Total clad for the weekend was $12.47..HH and thanks for looking.

[size=large]you seemed to have done real well this week. especially the 24k. ya don't see those very often. WTG

Good to keep in mind that the 24k ring comes in higher on the scale. Thanks for sharing. Awesome. First 24 i've heard of on the site. Take care.

nice find.. never seen one that pure.. that would explain it being bent... so soft it would bend and not break as the lower kt would..

Nice find on the ring, that's about $400 at today's deflated gold prices

Last year I found a 24K gold mens signet ring at the base of a tree, rang in as a solid zinc/indian head penny signal (I thought being an old park, and a giant old tree, that it might be an injun). Was I surprised when I dug it and it was a nice chunk of gold :bouncy: That's one of the most interesting aspects of this hobby, every once and a while you get a very nice, and unexpected surprise :detecting:

HH,
Brian
