Went to an old picnic area early this morning in search of older coins. Here is a swing that is kinda tucked away in the woods. I searched underneath and all around it, but no dice. I did find some silver a hundred feet away though.

The colors are spectacular at this time of year around here.

Although I didn't detect this church or cemetery, I did stop to see how old the area was.

That's not my car, but a rental to use while my own car is getting fixed. I peeked into the window of that old abandoned house and could see a pair of kids shoes still hanging on a nail on the wall. I didn't detect this place either, but I might later on. There's the 1350 leaning against the car. :)

And the finds are below....a couple of silver and a great memory. :) It just doesn't get much better then this

Nice finds John! Pertty country too, looks like mayby some good deer hunting could be done there also! Bet that ol farm house has some goodies around it! :goodnight:

Wow John - must be hard to keep your eyes on the ground with all that beauty surrounding you. We don't have many of those big leafy things (I think you call them "trees") out here in the desert southwest...and strangely enough cactus doesn't change color in the fall!

Depends on how poor all the occupants were. :)
Back in the old days poor folks had no money and bartered for everything.

Gotta say you're right on that one Bill. One of my strongest childhood memories is of helping my grandfather on his sheep ranch near Roswell, NM. One day I was thinking how drab and depressing the countryside was. It rained all that night. The next day it was like stepping out into a rainbow - dazzling colors everywhere. :yikes: I don't think I'll ever forget it.
