Took the CTX with 17" coil mounted to a local park this last week and pulled this beauty..
This was the only old coin found that day after at least 4 hours of detecting.
The condition of the coin more than made up for the lack of finds.
Hard to believe this has been in the ground over a hundred years.
Nice clean 12-44 at 6". Not sure how it was missed all these years.

I'd give it an EF-40 grade... Wow... Can't stop looking at the detail... Great pictures as well...
