Checking the weather early this morning it appeared there might be a good three hour window before the forecast of heavy rain set in. Shot off an email to Chris and we hooked up at one of our old parks. I've grown to dislike when this happens, but upon firing up the A T Pro about ten feet out from the car got a nice 82/83 reading at 4" and popped a 36 Mercury right off. Although it's nice to have a silver in the water bottle right off, often for me it seems, I don't get another. The other Merc., a 39 I dug yesterday. About midway through the hunt dug the 925 marked silver medallion that appears to have tangled with a lawn mower. Dug 2 pieces of lead of which, 1 appears to have been fired. I love finding round balls. For me, the prize of the day was the large skeleton key. And it was my last target as the rain had just started. It was one of those "should I or shouldn't I" dig signals. It was mixed, scratchy tones, but I knew it had some depth so dug it. Glad I did. Nice green patina all over it. Not a bunch to show, but maybe what there is will help you northern diggers with your withdrawals. !!" coil and running in Pro Zero with max sen. HH jim tn
