BEACH TRIP

I went to the beach (Destin. FL) for almost a week but since I had 4 grand-kids with me I could only detect for about an hour per day. I dug clads, one hot wheel and I am sure there are no-more tabs, beer cans or rusty bottle caps left on the beach I was on because I got them all. I had no problems in dry sand but when it came to the wet surf sand It would ding as a coin but it was impossible to pin-point. I tried ground balancing in wet and dry sand and it would not ground balance in either but it would pin-point on the dry sand. I also tried with sensitivity down in increments to the least of all. It just would not close in on the target. I never could get rid of the buzz on wet soil. All in all I was disappointed in by BH Time Ranger at the surf line. Any thoughts?

Most of the bounty hunters will not perform well in salt water conditions...the frequency of operation and the ciuitry are just not made to handle that type of hunting well...there are some tricks to hunting the sand at salt water beaches, but if your looking to hunt the surf...it is better to have a dedicated salt water machine or Pulse Induction machine...

Boodydarn,

Hand the same issue, and you beat me to bring up this issue. Was getting constant beep / reading where the wet sand met the dry sand. Realized that I was not going to get anywhere I stayed on dry ground. My beach is also bottle cap free (har har) took me 1.
