Went to the beach this morning, first signal 12-46 Thought I was going to dig another dime, but out pops a silver ring with 2 10k gold beads on the sides. also a bunch of little diamonds..
I went to manual 27 on sense and pup it in salt water mode to reduce the amount of false signals due to the high sense. went on to find a bunch of coins at 12 inches + Question, does the detector only go up to 12 for depth? never saw a number higher, but they were definitely deeper than that.

My 11 inch coil seems to vary and read correctly. The 17 inch coil appears to always read 12 inches at the beach. Sort of weird because by sweep is almost on the sand and level. Other people have said the same thing... Nes

Salt water of fresh water beach?

Some report is starting over again, with a 1 possibly indicating 13" or 12" & 1". I have not observed this yet myself.

Salt water beach, Galveston Island. Mondays are the best, even tho the tide was not in my favor.

This morning, I dug a lot of 12 inch pennies, thee were pre 1982 and came out pretty clean, the zinolns were toast. some had the copper film completely gone while others were cratered through.
