Beach Sensitivity settings

Hi Everyone
Since using the Quattro here in the uk ,i have taken it to the beach a few times
and have been rewarded with two silver rings from wet sand, and a good selection
of coins old and new from both wet and dry sand .
I use the standard 10.5 double D coil with sensitivity set on auto
and suppose iam doing ok .
As i am fairly new to the Quattro and detecting as a whole
is it better to stick to auto sensitivity on wet sand or
should i be experimenting more with sensitivity settings ?

Hi dtecta71

When on the dry, I also use the AUTO sensitivity. I find it works OK though I will set it to manual after the season, when the time comes to look for deeper coins.

On the wet sand, on the contrary, I use manual sens. at 18, sometimes 17 when the machine becomes unstable despite noise cancelling.

The depth is then impressive.

Gidday, I preper to use the manual setting, and usually have it jacked up to 18, whether on dry or wet sand. Find it works quite well as well as giving me the depth I need.
