Beach program

Has anyone came up with a better program for the beach program I have been playing around with it haven't come with anything
That I like yet

I will be trying this program on the beach in about 3 weeks. I am also going to set up the program I use in my E-Trac for the beach from Andy's book, labeled as Joe Demarco's beach program.

I wanted nickels and all coins assigned the same tone. These may be expanded depending on how & where the coins ring in when I get there, but this is where I started.
All coins and silver jewelry should ring in at 1200 hz.

I assigned the tones on my CTX as follows.

CO 01 to 11 =157 hz
CO 12 to 13 = 1200 hz
CO 14 to 36 = 403 hz
CO 37 to 50 =1200 hz
The block in the middle at FE 01 to FE 09 and CO 11 to CO 30 is rejected.
FE 20 to 35 is rejeced at CO 01 to CO 50

Bcoop I may test that thanks Ill turn down the 1200 hz I'm not a fan of that tone
I know one thing I've got to get a beach scoop with handle because those pull tabs were coming in at dig me
Those half pull tag were hitting 12-12 and me back is killing me this morning

That's the great thing about it, you can set the tones at whatever you want. I may change the tones to suit my ear after I get there and start digging targets but that is where I started and definitely a distinct tone for coins to fall under.

Depending on the beach, you may want to try other settings to your sensitivity, recovery fast, deep on or off, ferrous coin, ground coin, your gain, threshold volume, etc. Trial and error on your particular beach will get you the stability and performance you desire.

Auto plus 1, 2, or 3 should give you the best lock on and accurate ID to your targets. If the beach is not heavily mineralized you may be able to run it hotter, I would for sure give it a try in manual to see.

YOU'RE CORRECT. YOU CAN NOT BEACH HUNT WITHOUT A LONG HANDLE SCOOP. IT IS A MUST HAVE.

GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY HUNTING

Just my take on the beach tones your using I have found with over 50 hrs with the CTX on the beach, is I get lots of coins comming in at 11-36 these tend to be quarters on edge. Now I am very new to this type machine and I can't offer any more info than what I posted. I can tell you I have dug over thirty bucks worth thus far. Lots of them are old greenies and coming out from more that 12 inches.Hope this helps you out in some way! I did just set up my machine and have made certian that the 11 was in the high tone but I felt 1200 was a bit too much and helded it at 1100. other things i can also add is like always on the beach we tend to dig all and coins are coming in the 09-?? an 10-?? alway reading 12in and always being way more deeper than 12in with the exception of dime they read 9,10,11,12 all the time and are normally 3,4,5 inches. Probally do to being on edge.
