Beach Machine

I have an Excal that I use for beach hunting in the water. I would like to get a machine to use in the sand, both wet and dry if possible. I have heard that the Minelab units would be a great choice, your thoughts about a good unit would be appreciatted. I would like to hear what is working for you.

The second part of this question is this; I have posted my GTI 1500 that is two months old on the classified forum for a trade. I haven't sent the warranty card in so someone will get a "new" unit with a two year warranty. I would love to have an Explorer, even an older model, but not sure if that's going to work out. Here are the units that are currently in play about a possible trade:

Fisher CZ-7
Fisher F5
Fisher CZ3D
White's XLT

They have some fantastic prices on Explorer SE Pros now that the E-Trac is out. Lots of guys selling Explorers to get E-Tracs too. The E-Trac itself would be the ultimate, but expensive. I would think the Garrett you have would be as good as those you list, but have no personal experience with any of them.

The XLT can have trouble in the wet sand most of the CZs have a salt mode and run great in the wet sand some CZs
have a weather proof housing CZ 7A and CZ 70 do F5 cant say Good Luck Mike

Thanks for the info on the CZ's. I have received a couple of new offers to evaluate. This trading thing is amazing.
