Beach is still screwed up after the November storm

Buried Crap NJ

New member
I Had the chance to hit a beach that I grew up 1 mile from. I was working there yesterday. WOW is all I can say about the storm damage from Novembers storm. There is a cut 40 ft wide and and about 7 ft deep as far as I could see.The ocean is bringing sand in at about 2 each per tide and its just push it up like a mountain. After you walk through the cut and up the sharp drop off.You have to walk about 100 ft to the ocean and then down about 30ft very sharply to the water. While I only hunted for about 2hrs, 25 degrees and wind chill of 11 degrees helped!
I had several heavy finds 200 ft from the water. I was going too fast from the start and when I slowed down I realized to potential for good finds. No rings but I had 2 silver finds one large earring and a charm lots of clad deep.
Today for forecast is 23 degrees wind 35 gust to 50 I am going out about noon. steve

Dress Warm and enjoy it while it lasts.

dress warm steve, I went out to breakfast this morning at the Ihop on Rt72 and took a drive over to LBI, its really brutal out.

Went out today at 12:00 and hunted with Bruce till 5 pm. It was about 11 degrees and we had a good time. This is hrs 10 through14 and I found a silver quarter and silver ring and my first gold ring with the Excal. A 1927 school 10k no school name as it was missing from the top of the ring. Lots of clad. Bruce had several rings and a lot more clad than me. I keep my record going with silver or gold each time out???steve
