Beach Hunting

May be taking a trip to the beach with my daughter next month, have 1 question. Watching you tube videos I notice alot of people swing really fast at the beach, this would attribute to using a lower RD, is faster better for beach compared to say a filter of 5.0 and an rd of 65 running slower? Thanks All

They swing fast to cover as much ground as possible. Just match your swing and RD.

Some of the things that come up on the Jersey Shore are not jewelry finds...

Here is one found yesterday, not far at all from where you are going!

That is a dandy find Neil, makes me wonder how it happened to get there, doesn't look like it has been exposed to salt water for very long. Doesn't silver turn black in salt water after a few years?

There have actually been a few dozen that have turned up on this spot. Many are black, some are not. This was a friend of mine, not my own, but I am heading there tomorrow morning. I have not had luck there yet, but my buddy lives much closer and gets there nearly every day. He has dozens of Spanish silver from the beach. (Most are black).
