Beach hunting

My husband and I are fairly new to detecting and have never done much beach hunting. Has anyone had any experience with the Prizm 4 or DFX 300 on the beach?

The DFX and the Whites BHID are basicly the same.
I don't have the DFX but hunt with the BHID water machine and do well with it
in the water and sand.
Both detector have two frequencies
